PENILE INJECTION THERAPY FOR PREMATURE EJACULATION

Penile injections may be used to help a man maintain his erection after he ejaculates.  Once a man realizes that he is not going to lose his erection after he ejaculates, his level of anxiety often decreases.  This often enables a man to develop better ejaculatory control.

* With penile injection therapy a man can usually be helped to maintain an erection for 30-60 minutes.

Men can either chose to not use the injection therapy once they have developed better ejaculatory control or they can continue with it going forward.

Penile injection therapy, also known as ICP is an effective method of getting a longer lasting erection and improved control over ejaculation.

Penile injection therapy is not FDA approved for the treatment of premature ejaculation, and would constitute a legal but off-label use of the medication.

Please see our penile injection therapy page for more information.

Patients who are already using penile injection therapy from another physician can usually have their medicine renewed from us after a video chat tele-medicine visit (virtual visit) with Dr. Smiley. Our long-term relationship with the compounding pharmacies allows us to have MUCH better prices on ICP medicines than most large national ED practices.

*  While we will certainly try to help all of our patients, as with any medical treatment, there is no guarantee of specific results, as results can and usually do vary from patient to patient. All numbers and time frames mentioned are approximate and may vary from patient to patient.
